Good Morning! It’s Friday, ya’ll. Don’t tell me that doesn’t excite you.
As we start to wrap up the NBA season, I am taking advantage of having a lightly scheduled weekend and enjoying some free time. Scott and I don’t have much planned so far, and I am perfectly okay with it. I do have practice on Sunday, but the rest of it is totally up for grabs. Woot!
To celebrate, let’s kick start the weekend with this week’s edition of Friday Favorites. Don’t forget to link yours up at the bottom and tell me all about what you have been loving in the comments section too!
Friday Favorites #29: Week of 3/21
• (Michigan) isn’t for sissies t-shirt
Short for “you can’t be a sissy and survive our winter” tee from Michigan Awesome. Clearly, (since I always seem to bring up how horrible this weather is) this shirt had my name all over it. (Thanks Alex!)
I received this gem as a gift for dogsitting as well as a “Michigangster” shirt for Scott. Genius!
• the many faces of Roadie
Speaking of dogsitting, I have really enjoyed having another pup to hang out with over the past couple of days. I’m not sure if any of you have noticed this, but when I post pictures of Roadie on Instagram I have also started to include a #manyfacesofroadie hashtag.
Basically, I can’t handle the facial expressions he so nonchalantly shoots at me, so I started keeping track of them via social media. (Which might be just another reason why we don’t have kids? I would be so embarrassing.)
Anyways, his body language while I attempted to get a picture of him and Macy together yesterday was hilarious!
So loving, yet so annoyed. Ha!
• This performance of “All of Me” from The Voice contestant Ray Bourdreaux. Although Scott and I are weeks behind on the show, I heard this version pop up on my Pandora radio and am completely obsessed. I might have also downloaded it on iTunes (which is even better).
• Starbucks recycled glass cold cup, 16 oz.
I found this one at the Starbucks in our local Kroger grocery store!
It cost just under $10 and has been my favorite glass to constantly fill with water throughout the day ever since. It kind of reminds me of a fancy mason jar and is also perfect for iced coffees (duh) and smoothies on-the-go!
• melting snow
Spring is here! (Right?)
While it may not feel like it yet (with temperatures still ranging from the teens to the forties here!), the sight of grass in our backyard is very comforting.
Even if it isn’t necessarily green… c’monnn warm and sunny afternoons!
• gluten free french toast sticks
I have been so hooked on gluten free Van’s waffles that I keep my focus clear set on them when it is time to restock. This last trip to the grocery store, however, I couldn’t resist the urge to try something new.
1 serving GF french toast sticks drizzled in honey, and topped in almond butter with a side of sliced bananas.
You’re welcome.
• argo tea
Another glass beverage on-the-go find I actually blogged about back in October!
I have only purchased it a few times since then and I think the only reason why is the $2 a bottle price tag.
Argo Tea is made of natural ingredients and the two flavors I have tried (Hibiscus Tea Squeeze and Green Tea Ginger Twist) are both really, really good. Every once in a while I go for the splurge and enjoy the fresh tea taste!
• These babies and puppies. The reason is obvious.
• macarons
I have actually never been one to get into macarons… until my recent visit to New York, that is.
From left to right: Peanut Butter and Jelly, Creme Brulee, Apple Pie, Cinnamon Pumpkin, Chocolate Coconut, and Pistachio.
On a cold and rainy walk back to our hotel, a few blogging friends and I excitedly stopped into MacarOn Café for some sweet souvenirs. I put together the bright package of six you see above for Scott and haven’t been able to walk past them in the kitchen without snagging a bite of one every time.
Oddly enough, my favorite was the peanut butter and jelly flavor!
• Ross, Joey, and Chandler on going out in their late twenties.
I watched a couple of episodes of Friends while straightening up last night (shocker), and literally laughed out loud by myself for a good thirty seconds on this one.
“And so what if I like to go home, put on some Kenny G. and take a bath?” Hahaha, Ross. I can’t. #sadbuttrue
• fitness gear discounts

Heather- my dad is originally from Michigan & the pictures of snow makes me officially very thankful for our beautiful weather here in Southern California… I grew up in Idaho so I USED to be a cold-weather champion, but now I can’t stop shivering when it drops below 40 here. I may have turned into one of those dreaded “sissies”…. shoot. 😉
Heather
