Hi there! I hope the week is going well for you.
Mine is off to a great start with a workout in the books yesterday and another on deck this morning before work. I’ve been in a little bit of a fitness slump over the past month, so now I’m on a mission to get over it, and it goes without saying that my best fitness motivation always falls back to creating a fresh batch of workout tunes to jam out to!
I started sharing playlists back when I started training for my first half marathon in 2012. Putting them together (for myself and to share with y’all) gave me an extra push to get out there and move, so I’m hoping a that new collection of upbeat songs might give you an extra nudge on your next workout or run, too!
If you have been following the blog for some time (thank you!), then you already know that I am a lover of all different types of music. You can always check out what I’ve been listening to by viewing my Spotify profile, and I always share my favorite workout music right here on the blog. Or at least I try to.
This list provides an hour of my new go-to, upbeat tunes that you can download, stream, and easily play on your next workout. I’ve been rocking out to this playlist on runs, during workouts at home, and even while cooking or organizing the apartment.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
My favorite may or may not be the remake of “The Mack,” which totally brought me right back to my middle school days. Thank goodness we’ve moved on to a world with more hair tools and less skater clothes. Seriously.

As usual, this playlist ends with a slow(ish) track to encourage you to cool down and recover with at least a few minutes of stretching. Don’t forget that important step!
