My heart and inbox is so full.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel after publishing this morning’s blog post, but I’m so happy I did.
Over the course of the day, I have received numerous comments, private messages, emails, texts, and phone calls. I am so overwhelmed in the best way, and I have really enjoyed reading your own stories and about your journeys that relate to what we are going through. If nothing else, finally sharing this season of our lives has helped at least one of you, and that is exactly why I write and absolutely love what I do.
I want to sit and type a response to every heartfelt comment that every single one of you left on my post earlier, but I’m leaving them be for now. Please know that I am reading them, relating to them, and appreciating them. The support, prayers, and love I have felt from where I least expected it (friends I haven’t talked to in years as well virtual friends – you guys!) means so, so much.
I have been an emotional mess all day, and I am slowly putting myself together in just enough time to set out for work. The good news is that training clients clears my mind and comforts me. For however long I am at the gym, I am focused on other peoples’ lives and goals, and that truly makes me happy.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so very much for your support. I look forward to sharing the next chapter(s) of our lives with you as they unfold! <3

Moving onto a lighter note, today is Wednesday, which also happens to be the day we usually talk about food. I don’t have a full What I Ate Wednesday post to share, but I did snap some photos of my meals from the day so far.
(A Mini) What I Ate Wednesday
Breakfast happened a little later than normal. I made coffee as soon as I came in from my morning walk with Roadie, but I didn’t drink it or make anything else until about an hour later.
Nature’s Path Maple Cinnamon Waffles topped in apple butter
I found a jar of apple butter in our pantry that came straight from Scott’s dad and step-mom’s house. Homemade jams and butters are the best, and it just got me really excited about Fall. While I love the summertime and don’t want it to end anytime soon, it feels colder today. And with a high of 75 degrees and low of 55 , it is colder today. I’m only okay with that because it then becomes socially acceptable to eat and make all the pumpkin things. What… too soon?
Anyways, I love apple butter. You get it.
Like I mentioned above, I spent most of my morning and early afternoon reading comments, answering messages, and reflecting. I did a couple loads of laundry and picked at a big bowl of cantaloupe while sitting at the computer.
Lunch was interesting and delicious. I have been an avid fan of Yaya’s (a considerably healthier drive-thru), and often stop into a location on the way home from the gym on the later work nights. Last night, I picked up their Greek Tzatziki bowl, scrapped a lot of the unnecessary dressing off, and put it over a bowl of lettuce.
I did the same thing today with the leftovers, only I kicked it up a notch!
Cucumbers, red peppers & green peppers topped in tzatziki mixed chicken and rice, roasted corn, and olives
I told you it was interesting, but sometimes it’s the strange combinations that hit the spot. This sure did!
I know I’m being short, but that’s all I’ve got for now. I’m off to get ready for work and I will see you tomorrow morning with a giveaway. (Yay for you!)
Happy Hump Day!

I love that the blog community can be there to support you and cheer you on! There are some real friends here.
My mom and I make a “rice salad” similar to your lunch. Its a nice “cool” lunch to throw together on a busy or hot day.

ohhh it’s delicious. Homemade is my favorite (for obvious reasons) but you can find it in most grocery and health food stores!
