Good afternoon! How’s your Hump Day goin’ for ya?
Mine’s good… now. I encountered a few technical difficulties this morning that had me in complete computer freak out mode. Basically, all of my windows looked crazy and it appeared as though everything was in HTML. I could barely navigate through it and thought I would have to go on a temporary blogging hiatus.
After a conversation with Apple Support, we came to to conclusion that it was my Mozilla Firefox browser giving me issues because I haven’t updated to the latest version of it. (Sidenote: Apple supports Safari, not Mozilla.) Whoops! Everything’s fine now.
It’s funny how I felt like everything was crumbling and the solution was so simple. I swear, the power of technology and how much it can help or ruin my day really scares me.
On a lighter note, it’s Wednesday… which means it’s time for another edition of What I Ate Wednesday/Tuesday.
(I always cross out the Wednesday because the actual highlight of my daily eats falls on Tuesdays. I just share it with you on Wednesdays. Just in case you ever assume I made a mistake there.)
By the way, Jenn (creator and hostess of WIAW) just had a beautiful baby girl! Check out her latest entries to see how she’s doing and a few shots of her precious chick pea! Congratulations again, momma!
What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday
Yesterday, I shared that I had zero fruit in the house. I wanted to decorate my basic (<- ha, still kills me) bowl of cereal with at least one kind of fruit and didn’t get the chance. So, breakfast was kind of boring.
(Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Crunch with unsweetened almond milk <- not pictured).
I am kind of obsessed with this cereal. I consider it to be the “healthy” version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, so if you are like me and pine over the days you used to enjoy it as a child I highly suggest you give it a try.
After I finished some work downstairs, I gave my fridge a quick scan before heading to the grocery store. Alas, I found the one and only piece of fruit there: a mango!
I love mangoes. They are a pain in the butt to cut, but I always feel like it is worth the trouble. Do any of you have any mango cutting secrets? I have watched a handful of video tutorials, but still can’t seem to make the pretty mango flower before breaking it off into cubes. One day!
Lunch came quickly after and there was nothing healthy about it.
Leftover Hungry Howie’s pizza from our little get together the night before. I guess there are veggies hiding in there, but still… grease city.
I got home from the grocery store and had one thought on my mind:
Eat. All. The. Fruit. Seriously.
Nothing I washed and prepped went into the refrigerator without me sampling a generous serving first.
I probably ate an entire container of raspberries within two minutes.
I guess since I cut fruit out of my diet for the photo shoot, my body has been missing it. While in the kitchen, I prepared a salad for dinner so it would be ready when Scott got home from work.
Clearly, the sweet fruit cravings continued.
(Fresh baby spinach, spring mix, sliced almonds, raisins, raspberries, blueberries, mango, and sliced avocado with a citrus vinaigrette <- not pictured.)
I forgot how much I love salads with fruit on them! Yum.
We had plans to go see Michael Buble in concert last night and had a few friends meet us at the house before hand. Before we left, we broke into a bottle of Merlot and I enjoyed a serving (or five) of Garden of Eatin’ Blue Tortilla chips and salsa.
It’s a weakness I tell you.
The concert was so much fun! Scott went and saw him before when we lived in Orlando, so I was expected it to be entertaining from his stories.
It was! Judging from the type of music Buble is known for, I never would have guessed that he has a sarcastic, witty and comedic personality. Every few songs he cracked jokes and got playful with the audience. He even brought a handful of people up on stage to sing with him!
His voice was fantastic, and I would legitimately go see him do stand up comedy.
Towards the end of the show he came over and under our section to this island stage to perform A cappella with his openers, Naturally 7.
Everyone was so talented! The amount of songs they performed in a row really amazes me. I couldn’t imagine spitting out the sounds that mimic a drum or base for an hour long. We were all really impressed!
The concert ended with a popular hit and heart confetti consumed the arena.
That Buble really knows how to melt hearts!
After the concert, we came back to the house and I may or may have not indulged in some mint chocolate chip ice cream. Ugh. I didn’t take a picture of it, but feel the need to include it so we are all on the same page here: a day of splurging every once in a while is completely normal.
Waking up today, my body is actually craving healthy food again which is a wonderful feeling.
With that, I have some work to get to and hope to squeeze in an afternoon run before practice tonight. No matter what I eat, a long run a day or so after seems to get me back to feeling somewhat normal again.
Have a wonderful rest of your day! 🙂

I don’t think you will be the least bit disappointed!
Ooh, cinnamon toast crunch looks good! I’ve been craving cereal lately, so I might have to get some!
Do yourself a favor… it’s so good! 😉
Chips and salsa are SO good, but slightly evil…once you start, you can’t stop! 😉
I mean, really. It’s crazy how addictive it is!
I LOVE that cereal too!! 🙂
NOM.
Not having fruit in the house is seriously one of my biggest fears – I LOVE the stuff and probably go through around 5 – 6 servings a day. Oops? And I’m so jealous that you got to see Michael Buble! I love his music and would love to see him live.
He was amazing!!! Glad I’m not the only one out there who hates being fruitless!
I hate when I run out of fruit. It’s pretty much a Breakfast staple, so definitely a pet peeve of mine!
And I want that green salad, it looks so fresh!
So awesome that you got to see Michael Buble – he’s one of my favorites!
He was awesome! I always love your salads and breakfast creations!
I love Hungry Howie’s! Haven’t gotten it in a longggg time though. If I could just live off fruit for the rest of my life, I would. EAT ALL THE FRUIT! LOL.
Michael Buble is just about my favorite singer. I love love love stuff like that. Big fan of 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s music.
Seriously. ALL the fruit at all times! 🙂
My mangoes NEVER look that perfect 🙂 They’re always mushed from frustration, lol
Haha, girl… this is the first time I even got cubes out of one!
Gah, I need that cereal!!!
Yes, you do! 😉
All those berries… you can’t geet good berries here anymore and I already munched my way through my frozen berry stock! This cinnomon crunch looks too good!
I’m slowly trying to stock up and buying extra to put in the freezer!
Hey we all have those days where splurging happens! I always tend to eat the leftover pizza the next day mostly because I feel so horrible wasting it. So jealous you saw Michael Buble, he is totally on my list of must-see artists!
I agree about the mangos, have you ever had Champagne® Mango’s they have a smaller seed then a regular mango so easier to cut and they are nice and sweet!
